Sex And The Occult By Gordon Wellesley Bell Publishing New York 1973 This book traces the history of mystical sexual rites through the ages, from their use in ancient forms of worship to their portrayal in the middle ages as evil and perverted practices. Also discusses the way this association between sex and magic has been portrayed in the modern media. Ultimately, this author separates the wheat from the chaff in the quest to find out what sex magic really is.

In that context they denoted the demons, or the devil himself in male or female human form, alleged to have copulated with the unfortunate accused. Armed with such powers and backed by the local secular authorities concerned, an Inquisitor found every move in the proceedings provided for in the Malleus Maleficorum. It dealt with the essential elements of witchcraft; it proved by learned argument that disbelief in witches was a heresy and explained the witch-devil association by which they worked their magic. It identified the devils operating as incubi and succubi and maintained that the sins of witches exceeded all other sins and thus deserved the greatest punishment of all, ie.; excommunication, confiscation of property and death.’ Book Format: Duodecimo, 8" tall.
